While our site is in French for the time being, you have an option to translate any foreign language site into your own language if you use Google Chrome. If you use a different browser, there is a language switch at the bottom left of every page of our site to achieve the same result. This will certainly make your navigation of our site easier. Admittedly, the translation is automatic and not perfect, but hopefully it will still help you to move around with less difficulty.
How to order and pay
Customers shopping for deliveries to Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and the UK are welcome to use the usual cart and checkout steps as in any online store. The cart page should be able to geolocalise you but just in case these countries can also be selected in the « Expédition » tab to recalculate you order.
If your country is not yet available, no worries. When you see what you like, or just have a question to ask, simply reach out to us at contact@coupdecoudre.fr. Once the list of items and quantities that you would like to order are finalised, we shall send you a PayPal invoice for you to review and pay. You will be able to pay our invoice even if you do not have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts most local and international credit cards in many currencies, even though our invoices are in Euros. PayPal takes care of all cross-currency conversions for you and for us.
We happily work with companies as well as individuals. The same quick and reliable PayPal procedure applies to all, yet for companies we can also issue accounting invoices and accept direct bank payments (such as BACS) in Euros and even cheques. In this instance, it will take longer to fulfil your order because we shall wait until your funds clear before dispatching your items. We shall not accept cheques unless drawn in Euros on a French mainland bank, though.
Delivery
Delivery is very straightforward and reliable. We dispatch orders Tuesday through Saturday. We shall select the most appropriate international carrier to ensure safety and speed of your package (usually UPS, La Poste or Mondial Relay). Our international dispatches are always tracked. In our experience, international delivery times from France range from a few days within Europe to about a week to the continental US and to well under 14 days to Australia and even New Zealand. We shall agree delivery charge with you in advance (and in most instances split it up with you as well), so there will be no surprises there.
Taxes & Duties
Keep in mind that, if your order is being delivered outside of the European Community (EC), you may have to pay your country’s import duty or other taxes. This is not our responsibility and obviously is not included in the price. We also do not know what these duties or taxes could be, sorry.
Returns
We do not accept returns on any cut fabric, ribbons, elastics or trims etc as these are bespoke orders. Patterns, notions and other non-bespoke items can be returned for refund or exchange at your cost within 14 days of receipt of your order. These must be in a resalable condition, i.e. unopened and unused. Please contact us first to arrange return so that we keep looking out for your package and arrange its speedy reimbursement or exchange.
We take utmost care to ensure that no damaged product ever enters or leaves our boutique. Every single order item is carefully inspected before dispatch. Still, should you find a fault with your goods, please contact us within 14 days of receipt of your order and we shall advise you on how to proceed.
